Almost Killing Myself for Life: The Story of My Involuntary Triathlon Against Cancer

I mentioned in my summer farewell blog, that I was doing a triathlon, and that I would explain why later.

Now is later.

Here's the story from my Fan Manifesto column about how my brothers and I, and several others, completed a triathlon last weekend as part of my brother Scott's fight against cancer.   The amazing part is that my brother did it during while smack in the middle of chemotherapy treatments.

If he can do that, you can beat the obstacles in your life too.

Here's the story:

Nick Saban Wins Titles, Helps My Brother Fight Cancer

So, I said I was taking the summer off from blogging.  That's still true.

But I'm still writing for two other websites, and I never said I wouldn't shamelessly promote the things I post there.  Here's a cool story about what the University of Alabama's head football coach, Nick Saban, did to help my brother's fight against cancer.

Later in the week, I'll also post a link to an upcoming fan manifesto piece about the triathlon my brothers and I just did together.
